The front sub-frame can be regarded as the skeleton of the front axle and an integral part of the front axle. The front sub-frame is not a complete frame, but a bracket that supports the front axle and suspension, so that the axle and suspension pass through it and then connect with the "main frame", which is customarily called "sub-frame". The function of the sub-frame is to block vibration and noise and reduce its direct entry into the compartment, so it mostly appears on luxury cars and off-road vehicles, and some cars are also equipped with a sub-frame for the engine. In the traditional load-bearing body without subframe, the suspension is directly connected with the steel plate of the body. Therefore, the suspension rocker mechanism of the front axle is all parts, not an assembly. After the birth of the front subframe, the front suspension can be assembled on the front subframe to form an axle assembly, and then this assembly is installed on the vehicle body together. It is more suitable for welding with Panasonic V-type and H-type robotic welding systems.
